The Bader Hillel Academy Difference
At Bader Hillel Academy, every Jewish child belongs. Regardless of background, each family is valued, welcomed, and embraced in our school community. Our vision is that every student, family, and educator is seen for who they are, recognized for their unique contributions, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
We set the highest standards in elementary education, offering a dual curriculum that blends rigorous general studies with a rich Judaic education. Our students meet and exceed Wisconsin State Common Core Standards in literacy, math, science, and the arts while also engaging deeply in Torah learning that sharpens their minds, enriches their values, strengthens their Jewish pride, and fosters a love for Israel.
But academics are only part of the story. Our classrooms are warm, supportive spaces where curiosity is celebrated and big questions are encouraged. With high staff to student ratios, individualized instruction, and passionate teachers with subject matter expertise, each student is seen, supported, and empowered to grow. We don’t just prepare children for tests; we prepare them for life — equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in whatever path they choose.
As Milwaukee’s original Jewish day school, Bader Hillel Academy has built a legacy of academic rigor, Jewish pride, and strong community. Families are true partners in the journey, and together we create an environment where children blossom into thinkers, doers, and proud Jews.
We’re so glad you’ve taken the time to learn more about BHA and look forward to welcoming you into our family. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. My door is always open.
Warmly,
Principal, Bader Hillel Academy

Different Voices. Collective Strength.

At Bader Hillel, diversity is not something to manage—it is something to celebrate and share with one another. Each of our 171 students bringsa distinct background and story, yet all are united by a shared pursuit of truth and moral purpose.
In a world that often confuses freedom with self-interest, our students learn that liberty and responsibility are inseparable. They see that listening to others does not require abandoning one’s convictions. They come to understand that differences of opinion need not lead to division—that Ahavas Yisroel means caring for one another. Especially when we disagree.
It’s a privilege to witness the intersection of different Jewish traditions and practices coming together to create an environment of respect, understanding, and learning from one another.
This diversity strengthens our school, allowing us to grow as a community of learners and as a living example of how conviction and cooperation can thrive together.
