Recess
Learning Through Play

Our Philosophy:
Kids Should Be Kids
We deeply believe in the power of recess as an essential part of a child’s education.
Students have recess twice each day, because learning is not limited to desks and worksheets. Social and emotional learning happens naturally through play, movement, and peer interaction.
Recess provides:
-
A structured environment with adult supervision and guidance
-
Opportunities for collaboration, conflict resolution, and leadership
-
Physical movement that supports focus and classroom success
-
Space for creativity, independence, and relationship-building
-
We view recess as an additional classroom—one where children develop critical life skills, build resilience, and strengthen friendships. Recess is not a break from learning; it is an essential part of learning.
Students who have regular recess show improved attention, memory, and classroom focus.
Breaks for play help children return to learning more ready and engaged.
