8th Grade Israel Trip
A Journey That Becomes Part of Them

Not simply a trip.
A defining moment.
Each year, Bader Hillel Academy’s 8th graders embark on a journey that connects them to something enduring: a living chain stretching from our people’s ancient history to their own unfolding future.
What students have studied for years in the classroom suddenly becomes real. They walk the streets of Jerusalem, stand in prayer at the Western Wall, and experience a powerful, personal connection to their ancestral homeland.
This is not simply a trip—it is a milestone.

When Learning Comes Alive
As many young people search for meaning in a world full of noise and distraction, this experience offers clarity. Students encounter the land, the people, and the story of Israel firsthand, grounding them in their history, faith, and Jewish destiny.
Texts come alive. Ideas take shape. Our heritage is revealed not as something frozen in time, but as vibrant, living, and deeply personal.
Students return with:
-
A stronger sense of Jewish identity
-
A deeper understanding of Jewish history and peoplehood
-
A personal relationship with Israel that will stay with them for life
The Israel trip marks a transition—one that many alumni cite as a defining moment in their Jewish journey. It builds confidence, perspective, and pride, reinforcing that they are part of something larger than themselves.
It is an experience that stays with them long after they return home.
To ensure every student can participate in this transformative milestone, Bader Hillel Academy is revitalizing the Passport to Israel program in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Milwaukee.
Through this partnership, we are committed to making the Israel experience accessible to every BHA student, removing financial barriers and opening doors to a journey that belongs to them.
