Academic Programming
"Intellectual curiosity cannot be 'taught,' but it can be 'caught.'"

At Bader Hillel Academy, your child’s individual interests are encouraged and rewarded, laying the foundation for a lifetime of achievement. Inspiring Judaic and general studies at Bader Hillel Academy provide a rigorous foundation to excel in any high school or yeshiva. Our student’s academic achievement exceeds Wisconsin State guidelines. Bader Hillel Academy is accredited with the independent National Council for Private School Accreditation.

Through combining Jewish tradition and a vibrant general studies curriculum, Bader Hillel Academy focuses on the development of each child, both socially and academically. Our faculty encourages creativity and critical thinking in all students.  Equally important are lessons in integrity, kindness, compassion, and caring that are integrated into all aspects of school life.

Mission:
To provide an excellent, value-based Judaic education for any child who is seeking one, regardless of their financial background.

Vision:
It is our vision that all Milwaukee Jewish youth will receive a comprehensive education based on the teachings of Torah, enabling them to become knowledgeable, conscientious and committed Jews; ethical, moral, and productive leaders in society.

School Philosophy
Bader Hillel Academy is a Community Jewish Day School that provides a high-quality Jewish and general K5 through 8th grade education. It strives to have each student embody the highest Jewish moral and ethical ideals and standards in every facet of their life.

A Judaic education imparts to our students the rich heritage of our people as expressed in its classical sources, Chumash, Mishnah, Talmud, and codes; and, develops in our children a love for, and a commitment to, the observance of Judaism as embodied in the code of Jewish law.

We provide our students with critical thinking skills and a foundation of excellence in Jewish and general education recognized by the entire spectrum of college preparatory high schools.

Bader Hillel Academy recognizes and treasures the value of every individual, regardless of religious observance, background, or socioeconomic status. Our atmosphere is designed to elicit self-confidence and high academic expectation from every single student. Our ties to Israel, and love for each and every Jew, are mainstays of our program. Bader Hillel Academy is committed to a dual curriculum in general studies and Judaic studies.

Our educational program develops:

  • A mastery of crucial concepts and academic skills
  • Curiosity and desire for learning and exploration
  • Critical thinking skills
  • A challenging curriculum for each child
  • An interest in, and appreciation of, the arts
  • A sense of physical well-being
  • Respect and sensitivity to every individual

We understand that the Judaic and general worlds are interconnected and strive to provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be successful members of today’s global community.

General Studies Education
In our general studies courses, we strive to exceed state and national education standards for each grade level in every area. Our curriculum integrates core subjects: reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, technology, art and music.

Judaic Studies
In our Judaic studies, we emphasize our Jewish identity through a deep knowledge and pride in our rich heritage. Studies focus on Hebrew language, Jewish History, the classic texts of Chumash, Mishna, Talmud and Jewish philosophy.

Because Jewish tradition recognizes that each child is an individual with unique innate qualities, we provide individual attention in both general and Judaic studies courses.
